Minister Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the Ambassador of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Dewal

Vahagn Khachaturyan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the RA received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Armenia Kishan Dan Dewal. 

The Minister welcomed the Ambassador, underlined the position of the Government of the RA on the importance of deepening cooperation with India, as well as congratulated on the occasion of India's Independence Day, which took place recently.

Vahagn Khachaturyan noted that the Government has a special attitude in its relations with India, especially in the field of high-tech industry, expecting the establishment of new qualitative and quantitative relations.

"India's achievements in high technologies and high-tech industry can be very important for the Republic of Armenia," marked Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The Minister presented to the Ambassador the main issues that the Ministry  is working to address in order to restore and develop the high-tech industry.

Vahagn Khachaturyan touched upon India's rich experience in this area, great potential, opportunities for expanding cooperation, implementation of joint programs.

The Ambassador thanked for the reception, stressed that special relations have developed with Armenia. The Armenian-Indian peoples have a centuries-old history of friendship, cultural commonalities, and a great potential for development in a number of areas.

During the meeting a number of opportunities for deepening cooperation were discussed, an agreement was reached to prepare a work program of proposals in a number of directions in the field of high-tech industry.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Kishan Dan Dewal invited Minister Vahagn Khachaturyan to India to meet with responsible public and private representatives of the field, to get acquainted and reach agreements on further cooperation on the spot.
