Armenian Defense Minister and NATO representative discussed cooperation issues

Minister of Defense of Armenia, Mr. Seyran Oganyan, had a meeting with NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General in the matter of Defense Policy and Planning, Mr. Jonathan Parish. Sides discussed the key vectors of their cooperation.

As the Press Service of Defense Ministry reports, the NATO delegation is in Erevan since 29-th of February and its mission is to coordinate the new pack of cooperation goals within the process of planning and revising of an individual partnership program.  

During meetings, sides discussed the results of their work for the period of 2014-2015 and defined the vectors of further cooperation development.

Minister of Defense of Armenia has marked the importance of NATO-Armenia cooperation which contributes to Armenia’s responsibilities in terms of international security maintenance and defense field reforms implementation. 

In his turn, Mr. Perish has highly appreciated the involvement of Armenian troops in peacekeeping missions.
