ArmHiTec 2016: organizers working meeting

In accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia First International Exhibition of Arms and Defense Technology, ArmHiTec-2016, will be held  from 13 to 15 October 2016 at  Exhibition Complex "ErevanEXPO" (Yerevan, Republic of Armenia).

On July 5,2016 Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, Head od Armenia’s Military Industrial Committee, Mr. David Pakhchanyan, held a working meeting with the organisers of the ArmHiTec exhibition Director General of ECG ‘OVK ‘Bizon’, Mr.Sergey Marichev and a number of other representatives of the exhibition company.The the issues and details of organising and holding the ArmHiTec 2016 exhibition were the main topic of the meeting.

The First International Exhibition of Arms and Defense Technology, ArmHiTec-2016 is organised as an integrated complex of exhibition and business events in order to demonstrateto the potential customers high-tech, innovative developments and ready solutions in the field of modern weapons, military equipment and technologies, as well as the needs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of

Armenia in the respective materiel, products and services of general purpose. The event aims to promote themodernisation and technical re-equipment of the Armed Forces, security agencies and law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia, increasing their combat capability and efficiency, as well as to ensure possibilities

of studying the achievements of up-to-date international military-technical developments and solutions.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the discussion on the arrangement of special events, activities-news conferences, PR campaigns and briefings, with the aim of promoting the ArmHiTec exhibition and a wide distribution of information on ArmHiTec among the potential participants.

It is envisaged that the major enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia as well as other countries will participate in the ArmHiTec exhibition as exhibitors. They will have a unique opportunity to establish new business contacts and develop internal and external cooperation ties between designers, manufacturers and suppliers of armament, military equipment and security systems.

A number of various specialised contests including National Defence and Security Contest will be held for the exhibitors within the framework of the ArmHiTec event.The winners will be awarded special prizes, diplomas and medal ‘Guarantee of Quality and Security’ as well as Diploma of Laureate of International Contest “National Defence and Security”.

On hearing ECG ‘OVK ‘Bizon’ representatives, Mr. Pakhchanyan made a number of requests and recommendations concerning the working process. A draft programme of organizing and holding the ArmHiTec exhibition, its demonstration and business programme was adopted in the course of the meeting. The organizers were requested to address the issue of membership of the contest committee and to consider the regulations concerning the prize winners.

The negotiations took place in a warm and amicable atmosphere. Summing up, the negotiators pointed out that the talks have produced positive and effective results. They gave an assurance that such a significant exhibition for the Republic of Armenia, as ArmHiTec is, will be organized and held according to the highest possible standards and to the very best advantage of the stakeholders.
